For cutting boards, wash under running water only when absolutely necessary. Daily cleaning is best done with a spray bottle filled with warm, very diluted soapy water. Spray just enough to cover the area, then wipe dry with paper towel or a rag. Follow up with a damp (not wet) cloth. Always stand the board on its edge to dry evenly, preventing warping.
For general care, pay attention to the surface colour. When the colour starts to fade, reapply a light layer of beeswax. This not only brightens and boldens the colour but also contributes to longevity and helps seal the surface from food penetration.

Pour butcher block oil onto the board and rub it in with a lint-free rag until sufficiently coated. Let it soak for 3-6 hours, adding more if needed. Finish with a good top coat of beeswax.
